Ride from Grove Creek all the way up to Curley Springs turn off, but make a loop around dry Canyon in front of big Baldy.

Ride S on beach to jetty.Rode inland to jetty road N, back to horse camp.
Easy to traverse for beginners. Crosses asphalt road. Ends at the observation area and bridge.
Easy but good for hill work after rain there are some little creeks to cross. Most of the time you will see other people walking their dogs
Share the trail with hikers, runners, and dogs. Everyone very respectful and friendly. Several water crossings, all shallow and not slick. Three road crossings, one of which can be busy.
Consistent inclines up Mill Canyon as you summit Ridgeline Trail. About 4 solid Waterpoints, maybe more. Very very steep decline down to Forest Lake. Potentially 1000 to 1200 feet in .75 miles. Big drop offs and big rocks. Possible to walk with a confident in hand horse.

This trail is GREAT for horses that are sensitive to hard ground. Lots of running areas and logs that are great for training. You see everything on this trail! The park, water, trains, and more. It doesn’t have black mud either, just a bit overgrown. (Watch out for spider webs!)
Trail rides through Garden Road subdivision. Lots of shade. Can be challenging if people are weed wracking or the like. But also good practice. Fun quick ride.
Mostly flat sandy trails, some are wide enough for carriages. Most barefoot horses will be fine here. The trail is shared with walkers.

Note: If you rode on private property, we strongly recommend saving your trail as "Private".
Equilab’s list of trails currently only includes those that have been tracked by riders using the Equilab app. As a result, there are still many trails not yet included in our platform. Anyone can track trails and add them for free, however — giving you the chance to help others discover new places to ride!
Yes! You can add a trail from any ride you track using the Equilab app. To so, simply download the app, create an account, then record your ride on the trial.
Note that to create a trail, the ride must be at least 0.6 miles long, have taken at least 5 minutes, and must not have been tracked within an arena.
